Exactly on October 6, 1924 at 21:00 was sent the first radio message from the studies of the URI.
This is the full text of the message: “Uri, Italian Radio Union. 1-RO train station in Rome. Wavelength 425 meters. To all those who are listening to our greetings and our good evening.It’s 21.00 of 6th October 1924. We pass the opening concert of the first Italian radio station for the radio auditions, the quartet composed by Ines Donarelli Viviani, who’s speaking, Alberto Magalotti, Amedeo Fortunati and Alessandro Cicognani, will perform Haydn opera 7 first and second time. ”
