They are Pastis, but behind there are two talents, whimsical and creative, conjugation of art through photography and music: Marco Lanza, one of the most quoted photographers of Italian fashion and his brother, Saverio Lanza, musician.
It’s difficult to give them a connotation, they are this and more… together for recreational re-combinations.
Their program is Pastis creative re-combinations “Sounds and music research in Florence” for an intense season of experimental music live concerts and events that relate sound, social awareness and new electronic music with world and national premieres, young filmmakers and international performers.
Re-combinations, they mix again, put together affinities, colors, music, sound, art, imagination, curiosity… mix harmoniously in a kind of chemical combination, perhaps to breakdown then restore harmony, messing cards to reconstruct a mosaic, where emotions come but also agony, joy, sorrow, loneliness and finally hope.
All told thoughtless, never dull, but with strength and determination Pastis recombines with creativity and goes at the heart of the people.
They do us “see” the world through distorted lens, sometimes raw, violent but also softened by the music, sounds, harmony that leads through heart suggestions.
Pastis concept can be defined poetry, as it obliges spectators to a journey within himself, in our humanity, even if unconscious because in the arts there are no distinctions, as in the world, there should be no borders.
A trip for Marco and Saverio Lanza, to listen to the others…
